Max Epstein was born in 1974 in Pskov, Russia. He immigrated to Israel in 1990 and Lives in Ein Karem, Jerusalem since then.
In 1997 he graduated from Bezalel, the Academy of art & design, Jerusalem (ceramic art &design department) BFA. In 1999 Max became part of the “Open Seminar Of Photography” and in 2011 graduated from the University of Haifa, Fine Arts Dept, MFA.
Since 1997 Max had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Israel and Europe and he had received five prizes and scholarships from MIFAL ha PAIS, ASIF festival, Rabinovich Fund and more.
Max is multidisciplinary artist who creates in a field of total installation. His drawings are strong and full of life stories and is very much influenced by the ever-changing view and scenery outside his home.
Max works are part of the permanent collections of The Museum of Non-conformism Art (Saint Petersburg), Historical Museum (Vladikavkaz), The Museum of Culture and Religion of Dagestan and in several private collections in Israel, USA, Europe and Japan including the Sonya Beckerman collection.
